Welcome to the CIDA (Claddagh Irish Dance Association) Booster Club Page

We respectfully request that parents take membership in our non-profit association. The association is needed to support events, event planning, performances, fundraisers and competitions. Without volunteer help from our parents, many of our activities and opportunities might not be available. Each year any volunteer(s) from our association will provide direct liaison for scheduling activities and contacting other parents in the school.

CIDA also provides certain financial benefit (on a case by case basis) to young dancers that would not otherwise be able to afford dresses, competition and travel to majors.

CIDA is now accepting enrollment for the 2009/2010 Booster Club!

Check back here soon for the CIDA membership form!

An important note from our CIDA President:

"Dear Parents/Dancers:

You are all familiar with our  tax exempt booster club CIDA which,
among other things, raises funds to be able to provide to members the
fabric required for McGrath costumes; pays for expenses involved in
our participation in the St. Patrick's Day Parade; subsidizes the
Vinny O'Connor workshops; subsidizes the cost of McGrath track suits
for Oireachtas participants; and has also given tuition scholarships
to students when a parent has been out of work.

Your $20 annual membership fee for 2010 is now due and payable:

Please send your check MADE PAYABLE TO CIDA,  to Alice Butler Short,
CIDA President, 9103 Wood Spice Lane, Lorton VA 22079.

We also need parents to step up and volunteer for positions in CIDA to
help us expand the role of CIDA.  We particularly need help with
organizing and running social functions.

Sincerely,

Alice Butler-Short
CIDA President"
